Domain Name -
Basically, a domain name is the root (or main) name of a web site.
HTTP -
HTTP is short for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol. HTTP is the protocol the
World Wide Web uses to transfer files and web pages. When your browser
accesses a web server, it's using HTTP protocol to get instructions. That's why you see the site listed in the address bar as:
Local Computer -
When you're dealing with networks and internet stuff, you often hear about local and remote computers. A local computer is one that's in the same location you are (i.e. one you're working on). A remote computer is one you access over a network.
Kilobyte (KB)-
A unit of approximately 1000 bytes (1024 to be exact). Most download sites use kilobytes when they give file sizes.
